A graveside service will be held for Ms. Deborah Jane “Deb” Gilbert Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah, Louisiana, with Bro. Jason Lupo officiating under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah.

Deb passed away Friday, January 22, 2021, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, Louisiana, at the age of 62. She was born on November 26, 1958, in Tallulah, Louisiana, to Jack and Martha Anne Ervin Gilbert. Deb was a graduate of Tallulah High School with the Class of 1977. She lived the majority of her life in Tallulah where she worked with the Madison Journal and retired as a deputy Clerk of Court in Madison Parish.

Deb was always a cheerful sight and holds a special place in he hearts of her family, friends and coworkers. She was a very caring person who always showed love in her heart. Her hobbies included playing golf, socializing with friends at the Country Club, spending time with her family, especially nieces and nephews, and taking care of her dogs. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Deb is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Martha Ann Gilbert, and her oldest brother, Keith Gilbert, of Tallulah, Louisiana.

Deb is survived by her sister, Pam Gilbert LaBorde of Tallulah, Louisiana; brother, Bugs Gilbert of Port Gibson, Mississippi; two nieces, Sherri Geller of Loveland, Colorado, and Ashley Thornton of Shreveport, Louisiana; four nephews, Art Skeldon of Tallulah, Louisiana, Jay Skeldon of Holly Ridge, Louisiana, Craig Gilbert of Natchez, Mississippi, and Adam Gilbert of Southaven, Mississippi; and a host of great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Art Skeldon, Jay Skeldon, Craig Gilbert, Adam Gilbert, Dickie Thomas, and Kirk Morley.
