Rabalais Ghrigsby - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal May 4, 1994 Services for Sylvia M. Rabalais Ghrigsby were at 11:00 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Tallulah with the Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial was at Silver Cross Cemetery with Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah in charge. Mrs. Ghrigsby died Wednesday, April 20, at E. A. Conway Memorial Hospital in Monroe, La. She was 52. She was a native of Louisiana and had lived in Tallulah for 31 years. She was a cashier at the 66 Truck Stop in Tallulah. She is survived by one son, Thomas E. Ghrigsby Jr: of Holly Ridge, La.; five daughters, Charlotte Cherrington of Salt Lake City, Utah, Barbara Hodge of Dallas, Tx., and Katherine Rundell, Beverly Fries and Janie Ghrigsby, all of Tallulah; three sisters, Myrtle Hayes of Crowley, La., Adeline Krise of Tomball, Tx., and Ella Badon of Gueydan, La.; and 10 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Clifton Jobe Jr., Joe Jobe, Terry Badon, David Ghrigsby Jr., Joey Ghrigsby, Jimmy Jobe and Tim Jobe. Memorials may be made to the Sylvia Ghrigsby Memorial Fund, 208 Claudine St., Tallulah, La., 71282.
