All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Lois Gardner - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, July 8, 1987 Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Gardner, 84, were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Gardner died Monday at Delta Haven Nursing Home after a long illness. She was a native of Homer and a resident of Madison Parish for the past 50 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Walnut Bayou Home Demonstration Club. Survivors include one son, Arlen Ray Gardner of Monroe: two daughters. Mrs. Maxine Cox Moore of Houston and Mrs. Doris Cox Blanche of St. Joseph: two brothers, Leonard Miller of Haughton and T. W. Miller of Gulfport; five sisters, Earline Harvey of Tallulah, Lillian Huckabay of Tallulah, Ruby Doris Waltman of Ferriday, Evelyn Crouch of Bastrop and Mary Gibson of West Monroe; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Edwin Blanche III, Richard Steven Blanche, John Regan Moore, James E Jones, Ronald J. Carr. John Bowlin and John Collins. Honorary pallbearers were Ira Hugh Ervin and Tommy Ervin.
