Gandy Held Here Wednesday; Long Time Tallulah Resident Dies Of Heart Attack Tuesday Morning Funeral services for Robert Wiley Gandy were held Wednesday at 4 p. m., at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Irving Cheney officiating. Interment followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Gandy died at his home Tuesday morning at three o'clock after a heart attack. He had been a resident in Tallulah for 45 years. A retired postal employee, he was also a former agent for the Standard Oil Company here. He was a member of the Baptist Church and a Royal Arch Mason. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ellen Candy; three sons, Robert Wiley Gandy, Jr., of Tallulah, Lt. Col. William Frederick Gandy of Arlington, Va., and Dr. Thomas Howard Gandy of Natchez, Miss.; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Loe of Tallulah, and Mrs. Leo Terzia of Monroe; 11 grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Ida Gandy, three brothers, Wendell Gandy, Hoyt Gandy and Dennis Gandy; and one sister, Mrs. Annie Harris, all of Many, La. Pallbearers were H. C. Sevier, Jr., Rufus Yerger, W. A. Smith, David Pickle, Harry Holt and Malcolm Sevier. Honorary pallbearers were H. C. Sevier, Sr., A. V. Sevier, W. B. Williams, W. P. Sevier, Jr., Lamar T. Loe, M. M. Bloom, B. J. Hammond, John Sevier, T. H. Montgomery, Stein Antley, L. G. Storey, J. B. Petty, Dr. H. S. Provine, M. A. Wroten and all friends of the family.
