Foster - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post July 7, 2009 TALLULAH — Hilma O. Foster died Sunday, July 5, 2009, at Madison Parish Hospital. She was 87. Mrs. Foster was born in Chickasaw, La., and had lived most of her life in the Alsatia and Tallulah areas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Foster. Survivors include three daughters, Olga Butler and Pam Essex, both of Tallulah, and Myra Bolton of Arkansas; two sons, Joseph Foster Jr. of Ruston, La., and Johnny C. Foster of Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren. Services were at 3 p.m. Monday at Melborne Baptist Church in Transylvania, La., with the Rev. Butch Goodman officiating. Burial followed at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Pallbearers were deacons of Melborne Baptist Church.
