All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************* Charlie Foster - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Beaumont Enterprise, June 15, 2011 Charlie Foster, 77, of Orange, Texas, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. He was born February 23, 1934, in Tallulah, Louisiana, to Lola Arnold Foster and Horace Foster. Charlie had been involved with Maritime Construction and consultation throughout his career. He was a manager with Avondale Shipyard in New Orleans, with twenty years of service, and later with Texas Dry Dock in Sabine Pass, after ten years of service. Charlie had been a resident of Jefferson Parish for twenty years before residing in Orange, Texas. Survivors include his wife, Linda Foster of Orange, Texas; sons, Guy Foster and his wife, Madelyn of Columbia, Mississippi and Pat Foster of Ashville, North Carolina; daughters, Ellen McElroy and her husband, Mike of Port Gibson, Mississippi, Linda Holley and her husband, Grady of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Amy Walker and her husband, Alden of New Orleans, Louisiana and Ruth Hasty and her husband, Tim of Tallulah, Louisiana; sons, Chris Foster of Beaumont, Texas and Stephen Foster of Dallas, Texas; brother, Mike Foster and his wife, Debbie of Tallulah, Louisiana; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister; and one grandchild. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 16, 2011, at First Baptist Church, 700 Bayou Drive, Tallulah, Louisiana, with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tallulah, under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, Texas. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at Broussard's.
