All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Ellen Cason Fortner - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, April 2, 1981 Services for Mrs. Ellen Cason Fortner, 74, were Friday in Trinity Episcopal Church with Fathers Joel Treadwell and Thomas Xxxxer officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mrs. Fortner died Wednesday at her residence in Monroe after an illness. She was a housewife and a native of Madison Parish. She lived in Monroe for 10 years and was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Tallulah. Survivors include a son, James C. Fortner, of Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Carolyn Morris and Mrs. Venie Sherwin, both of Tallulah, and a grandson. Pallbearers were Cliff Adams, Henry C. Sevier Jr., Barton Sevier, L. Crayton Laughman, Dr. Hunter Mullis, John Lang, Robert C. Todd, J.K. Post Jr., W.W. Ziegler Sr. and K. D. Wicks.
