Paul Alan Fortenberry, age 60, passed away at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi, on Saturday, March 27, 2021, after a lengthy battle of complications from COVID. He was surrounded by his wife, children, and one of his brothers during his passing. We rejoice knowing that he is welcomed with opened arms in Heaven by his family and friends who preceded him. The funeral service for Paul will be held Thursday, April 1, 2021, at the First United Methodist Church of Tallulah, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM with the funeral service at 11:00 AM with Reverends Henry and Clelie Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah, Louisiana, under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah, Louisiana.

Paul was born on July 17, 1960, in Delhi, Louisiana, to Elton and Pauline Fortenberry. Paul was a graduate of Tallulah Academy/Delta Christian. He became a life-long farmer and raised his family in Tallulah, Louisiana. He loved keeping up with his children, watching their sporting events, sitting in his chair watching “Law and Order” or “Gunsmoke”, and spending time with his friends and family. Paul is known for always having a smile on his face, cracking jokes, and being called by his nickname of “Tiny”.

Paul is preceded in death by his father, Elton Fortenberry, and two brothers, Albert Fortenberry and Kirby Fortenberry. He is survived by his mother, Pauline Fortenberry; wife, Tracey Fortneberry; children, Chelsie Fortenberry (fiancé Jacob Brown) of Ruston, Louisiana, Hayley Fortenberry, Luke Fortenberry, Summer Fortenberry; daughter, Aimee Mitchell (Chris) of Longbeach, Mississippi; grandchilden, Ethan and Corbin; brother, Dalton Fortenberry (Judy), brother, Buford Fortenberry (Tammie), sister-in-law, Ann Fortenberry of St. Joseph, Louisiana; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Edwin Fortenberry, Mitch Hopkins, Louis Grady, Charles Grady, Pat Patrick, Dave Collins, Curt Collins, and Kevin Collins. Honorary pallbearers will be Rob Fortenberry, Ken Barrett, Blaine Lee, and Randy Dukes.
