Foote Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal November 3, 1950 Ray O. Foote Funeral held Here Sunday Funeral services for Ray O. Foote, 59, who died Friday, Oct. 20th in Biever, Calif of a heart attack, were held here Sunday, Oct. 29th. His body was shipped by rail from California and arrived here Saturday, October 28th. Mr. Foote, who had a small farm near Hunters Bend, resided in California during the timber season. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Services were held Sunday afternoon at the Youngs Funeral Home at 3 o'clock, with the Rev. Mack Boman, pastor of the Wayside Baptist church of Vicksburg, officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. Shirley Briggs. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery. Pall bearers were O. L. Lott, Ed Reardon, Charles Parker, C. S. Lott, George Townsend, R. R. Holt, Roy Clark, Garland Robertson. Besides his wife, the former Miss Mary Keiting, of Vicksburg, he is survived by 5 daughters, Mrs. C. J. Hoggard, Minden, La.; Mrs. J. E. Rollison, Yokena, Miss.; Mrs. J. A. Morgan, Pine Hill, Ala.; Mrs. Ernest Lee, Biever, Calif.; Mrs. L. H. Sternett, Anchorage, Alaska; 1 son, Jack Foote, Biever, Calif. ; 2 stepsons, W. J. Keiting, Alexandria, La.; Mike Keiting, Woodville, Miss.; 3 brothers, Arthur Foote, Barber, Ark.; Eugene Foote, Idaho; Ted Foote, Biever, Calif.; 2 sisters.
