Fondren - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe News-Star December 31, 1970 TALLULAH — Funeral services were to be held at 3:30 p.m. today in the chapel of Crother's Funeral Home here for Fred Fondren, 59, of Tallulah. The Rev. James Hammett was to officiate, with burial in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah. Mr. Fondren died Wednesday in a Monroe hospital after a long illness. Survivors include one son, Charles Fondren; one stepson, Eugene Harron; two daughters, Miss Freida Fondren and Miss Wanda Fondren, all of Tallulah; four brothers, Robert Fondren of Bessemer, Ala., Teck Fondren, Albert Fondren, both of Tallulah, and Bill Fondren of Birmingham, Ala.; one sister, Mrs. Earline Cummins of Tallulah.
