Folk - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal March 22, 2000 Funeral services for Mr. James "Jim" S. Folk, 78, of Tallulah, were held Tuesday, March 21, 2000 in the Tallulah Presbyterian Church with Rev. Lauren Moore and Rev. Arthur Strickland officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mr. Folk died late Sunday night, March 19, in the Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah after a sudden illness. He was a life-long resident of Tallulah. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Tallulah Presbyterian Church, and a farmer. Ile was also a police jury member and owner of the Firestone Store in Tallulah for many years. Survivors include his wife, Eddie Sue Folk, Tallulah; one son: Jim Folk, Jr., West Monroe, La.; four daughters: Carol Folk LaHitte, Pass Christian, Miss., Yancey Folk Hodge, Tallulah, Ann Folk Blacklock, Katy. Texas and Laura Folk Mitchell, Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; one brother: Jack H. Folk, Tallulah; and one sister: Margaret Folk Booth, Nashville, Tenn. Memorials may be made to the Silver Cross Cemetery.
