"Sonny" Felts - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Jackson Clarion-Ledger, July 2, 2010 Funeral services for Lee G. "Sonny" Felts, age 56, of Tallulah will be 2:00 PM Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Tallulah with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Mr. Felts died Tuesday, June 29, 2010 in a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 20. He was born in Jackson, MS and had lived many years in the Madison Parish area. He attended Ole Miss and Essex University in London, England. He was a self employed carpenter with a love of music he shared with family and friends. He is survived by two sons, Evan Felts of New York and Jake Felts of London England; his mother, Lillian Nixon of Jackson; two sisters, Leslie Null of Ridgeland and Becky Sullivan of Byram; a brother, Stanley Felts of Daytona, FL; and his fiancee, Linda Graham of Byram. Sonny will be missed by all who knew him. TALLULAH, La. (AP) July 1, 2010 - A 57-year-old Tallulah man died in a one-vehicle crash in Madison Parish. State police investigated the crash at about 4 p.m. Wednesday. The News-Star reports troopers believe the crash occurred sometime Monday night or early Tuesday morning. Troopers say a truck, driven by Lee Felts, ran off Interstate 20 west of Tallulah, struck several trees and continued into a field. Investigators said the final resting position of the truck was not visible from the roadway. They say the crash was discovered after a passing motorist noticed damage to the trees along the interstate.
