All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Gabrielle Ivy Felts - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal November 17, 1999 Funeral services for Miss Gabrielle Ivy Felts, of Tallulah, were held Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999 in the First Baptist Church, Tallulah with Rev. Jerry Lewis officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah, under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah. Miss Felts died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, in the West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero, La., after a lengthy illness. She was born in Jackson, Miss., and was a student and graduate of Tallulah Academy. She was an All-American cheerleader, a member of the National Honor Society and the Beta Club, and a representative of her school at Girls' State. She is survived by her mother: Harriet R. Felts, Tallulah; her father: Lee "Sonny" Felts, Jr., Tallulah; one brother: Evan Felts, Tallulah; maternal grandmother: Mrs. Cleo Kavanaugh, Tallulah; paternal grandmother: Mrs. Lillian S. Nixon, Jackson; and a number of cousins. Pallbearers were Brandon Harris, Harry Malone, Michael Cummins, Michael Pippin, Warren Sevier, and Jason Whitaker.
