All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Lucian Farr - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, April 29, 1976 Funeral services for Lucian Farr, 90, Tallulah, were held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Tallulah Presbyterian Church with the Rev. William Whitwerth officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Farr died Saturday in the Madison Parish Hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Bolton, Miss. but lived in Madison Parish since 1910. He was a member of the Tallulah Presbyterian Church and a retired state employee. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rowena McMurry Farr of Tallulah; a brother, Joe N. Farr of Clinton, Miss.; four nieces, eight nephews and a number of great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were William E. Clark, Craig Clark, Robert O. Farr, Clem Farr, John Farr, Wiles Farr, Dr. Louis Tonore Jr. and Steve Tonore. Honorary pallbearers were Col. Travis McNeel, Louis Tonore, Charlie Seay, T. A. Cagnolatti, E. H. Lancaster, Sr., Joe McGee, Hook Prewitt and the elders and deacons of the Tallulah Presbyterian Church. The family requests that any planned memorials be donated to the Tallulah Presbyterian Church, a favorite charity or institution.
