All rights reserved. *********************************************************************************************** Earl Sherwood Farrington Madison Parish, LA From The Monroe News-Star (LA), Thursday, August 29, 1974 Earl Sherwood Farrington Mr. Farrington's funeral was held today at 2 p.m. in Crothers Funeral home chapel. The Rev. George York officiated, with burial in the Providence Memorial Cemetery. His plane crashed about 10 miles north of Vicksburg, Miss., and burned Wednesday morning. Warren County Sheriff's Deputy Ed Reed said that fishermen on nearby Eagle Lake heard the crash and explosion. His plane apparently stalled before crashing. Farrington, a native of Olympia, Wash., had moved to Tallulah from California and had been employed by Graves Flying Service for the last month. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Mormon Church. He is survived by one son, Errol Farrington of Casper, Wyo.; his mother, Mrs. Ruby Farrington of Olympia; two brothers, Bob Farrington and Bill Farrington, both of Olympia; and one sister, Kathline Farrington of Seattle, Wash.
