All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Ira Everhart - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, April 17, 1975 Funeral services for Ira Everhart, 66, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of Crothers Funeral Home with Rev. James Messer officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery. Mr. Everhart died in a Vicksburg Hospital from an apparent heart attack. He was a native of Arkansas and a Tallulah resident of 29 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Parkview Baptist Church, and worked for many years as a foreman for the Chicago Mill & Lumber Co. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Everhart of Tallulah, two sons, Ira C. Everhart, Leesville and Douglas Everhart of Tallulah; one stepson, Kenneth Richmond of Tallulah; three daughters, Mrs. Armon Cox and Mrs. Winnfred Parker, both of Tallulah, and Mrs. B. J. Hartwick of Pensacola. Fla.; one brother, Henry Everhart of West Helena, Ark.; one sister, Mrs. Abbie Hall of Evansville, Ind.; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bill Skelton, Richard Marshall, Wendell Sellers, Bill Whitaker, Bilbo Wilson and Buford White. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Tallulah Masonic Lodge.
