All rights reserved. ************************************************ R. T. Everett - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Madison Journal, March 25, 1955 TALLULAH — R. T. Everett, age 45, died Saturday, March 19 after a long illness. He had been a resident of this parish for 28 years. He was engaged in the farming business. Mr. Everett was a member of the Baptist Church and had at one time been employed by the United States Engineers. Services were held Sunday afternoon at 4 p. m. at the Willow Bayou Baptist Church with the Rev. Irving Cheney, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Tallulah, officiating. Interment followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery with Crothers Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Whitehead Everett; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Everett, Sr., of Forest, La.; three daughters, Mrs. L. S. Swafford, Tripoli, North Africa, and Misses Marguerite and Linda Ann Everett, both of Tallulah; three sons, Richard E., Donald Hunter and Donald Wayne Everett, all of Tallulah, and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were: Harold Post, E. H Stewart, John Noland, Raymond Pryor, Gus Eaker, A. J. Kyzar, Roy Erwin and J. B. Massey.
