All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Earl George Evans - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal November 10, 1928 EARL GEORGE EVANS News of the sudden death of one of Madison Parish's oldest and best-known citizens saddened his many friends here. Death occurred Tuesday morning in the Vicksburg Infirmary where he was a patient only a few days. Funeral services were held at the home of his sister, Mrs. T. P. Kell. Rev. C. E. Woodson, Rector of Christ Church, Vicksburg, Miss., conducted the burial services of the Episcopal Church. Mr. Evans had the esteem and friendship of many in the parish who grieve his loss. The Journal extends sympathy to his bereaved ones. He is survived by Mr. David M. Evans of Baton Rouge, Dr. William K. Evans of Lake Providence, Dr. Ralph Evans of Alexandria, Mr. Abel Evans of Enoka, all brothers and Mrs. T. P. Kell, Mrs. Florrie Bowers, Mrs. George Webb of Tallulah; Mrs. W. D. Mitchell of Lake Providence and Mrs. E. L. Gladney of New Orleans, all sisters.
