All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Clara Ervin - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal May 23, 1990 Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Ervin, 59, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Tallulah First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Ervin died Friday at Vicksburg Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Tallulah, a kindergarten teacher at First Baptist Church for many years, a homemaker and a member of Tallulah First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Hollis Ervin Jr. of Tallulah; one son, Hollis Ervin III of Lewisville, Tex.; one brother, Howard Carney Jr. of Tallulah; one sister Ethel C. Dowe of Tallulah; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Larry Holland, James Albert Martin, David Weeks, Gary Gunn, Charles Ladd Abrahm and B. B. Harmon. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. H. E. Kellum, Dr. William S. Harris, Dr. Tommy Weeks, Lucian Roy, D. D. Wood and Henry Simpson. Memorials may be made to the Northeast Louisiana University Cancer Research Center or your favorite charity.
