"Red" Ellis - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 12, 1981 Services for James W. "Red" Ellis were Sunday in the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Joey Bignar and Howard Xxxore officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Ellis died Friday in Madison Parish Hospital after an illness. He was a native of Mississippi and a resident of Tallulah for 42 years. He was a retired building contractor employed by Greenxxx Inc. and was a member of Willow Bayou Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Geraldine Ellis of Tallulah; a son, James Michael Ellis of Tallulah; three daughters, Mrs. Annie Lois Wixson of Gulfport, Miss., Mrs. Linda Joyce Pryor of Deer Park, Texas, and Mrs. Vickie Jones of Tallulah; three brothers, Guy Ellis, Morris Ellis and Bill Ellis, all of Greenville, Miss. ; a sister, Mrs. Erline Fox of Clarksdale, Miss.; and nine grandchildren. Pallbearers were Winfred Parker, Saniford Parker, Horace Russell, Armon Cox, Otto Wiggins and Wayne McKnight.
