All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Irene Ellis - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, April 6, 1978 Funeral services for Mrs. Irene Ellis, 58, of Tallulah, were held Tuesday in Willow Bayou Baptist Church with the Rev. J. W. Bignar officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mrs. Ellis died Sunday evening in Madison Parish Hospital after a lengthy illness. A native of Smith County, Miss., Mrs. Ellis resided in Madison Parish for 38 years. She was a member of Willow Bayou Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, J. W. Ellis of Tallulah; a son, Mike Ellis of Tallulah; three daughters, Mrs. Annie Lois Wixson of Gulfport, Miss., Mrs. Linda Pryor of Deer Park, Texas and Mrs. Vickie Jones of Tallulah; a brother, Buford Ashley of Meadville, Miss.; three sisters, Mrs. Inez Sullivan, Mrs. Louise Hetland and Mrs. Marilyn Rogan, all of Tallulah; and nine grandchildren. Deacons of the Willow Bayou Baptist Church served as pallbearers.
