All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Ada Mae Eisley - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal December 18, 1969 Rites Held Here For Mrs. Ada Eisley Mrs. Ada Mae Eisley 76, died Saturday, December 13, at 8:00 a.m. in Madison Parish hospital after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Eisley was the daughter of the late Mrs. Sisson Lilly and Ben D. Lilly. Before coming to Tallulah she taught in various schools in Morehouse Parish and in Mansfield. She married Walter Bartlett Eisley and moved to Tallulah where she was supervisor of the Madison Parish Schools for about 36 years before she retired in 1958. She was a member of the Methodist Church and a former member of the Wesleyan Service Guild. Mrs. Eisley is survived by one sister, Mrs. Verna L. Dodd of Baton Rouge and a cousin, Elmer Carter of Mer Rouge. Funeral services were held Sun., December 14, at 2:00 p.m. at the Crothers Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Clark Bell officiating. Interment was in Silver Cross Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Earl Martin, Charles Whitfield, John Simpson, M. C. Stone, (and others.)
