Eiland Sr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal July 18, 1990 Funeral services for Mr. Edward H. Eiland Sr., 78, were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Episcopal Church with Rev. John R. Proffitt officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Eiland died Monday at his home in Tallulah after a short illness. He was a native of Bunkie and a resident of Tallulah for the past 50 years. He was a general contractor, a Marine veteran, a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and was a past president of Northeast Louisiana Association of General Contractors. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Frances B. Eiland of Tallulah; two sons, Dr. Edward H. Eiland Jr. of Delhi and Stanton B. Eiland of Tallulah; two brothers, James A. Eiland Jr. of Bunkie and T. H. Eiland of El Paso, Tex.; one sister, Catherine Eiland of Baton Rouge; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Harry Holt, Salo Abrahm Jr, Calvin Adams, Cliff Adams, Bill Adams, Robert W. Calvert, James C. Wilkerson and Kirk Morley.
