Edwards - Madison Parish, Louisiana Birth: Sep. 22, 1895 Philadelphia, Neshoba County, Mississippi, USA Death: Feb. 18, 1967 Tallulah, Madison Parish, Louisiana, USA Funeral services for Charlie F. Edwards, 71, who died Saturday in Delta Haven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness were held Sunday afternoon at 2 P.M. Services were conducted in the Chapel of Crothers Funeral Home with the Rev. John S. Hurt officiating, assisted by Brother Sellers Crain. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery. A native of Morton, Miss., he had been a resident of Madison and East Carroll Parishes for 40 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cora M. Edwards, of Tallulah; a daughter, Miss Edna M. Edwards, Salina, Kansas; four sons, R. A. and Everett Edwards of Tallulah; C. D. Edwards of Anchorage, Alaska; and James Edwards of San Jose, California; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Moore, Carthage, Miss. and Mrs. Minnie Buras of New Orleans, ten grandchildren adn one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Murrel Green, Donald Wayne Arender, J. W. Brasher, Leon Hart, A. O. Maxwell and Chester Deggans.
