(Jack) Eatmon - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, October 22, 1986 James M. (Jack) Eatmon, 58, a native of Franklin Parish and former resident of Tallulah, died October 14 at St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson, Miss. following a heart attack. Funeral services were held Thursday, October 16 at Wright-Ferguson Funeral Home in Jackson with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery at Tallulah. A graduate of Winnsboro High School, Eatmon was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was decorated in both wars. After a career in the Army, he lived in Tallulah for 10 years, and later entered business in Jackson where he lived for 20 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a past president of the Mississippi Alcoholic Beverage Brokers & Representatives Association. Survivors include his widow, Virginia Eatmon, Jackson; two daughters, Pam Eatmon, Jackson and Mrs. Gaye Phillips, Sylacauga, Ala.; one son, James Mike Eatmon, Jackson; his mother, Mrs. Maude Ferrington, Columbia, Miss.; three sisters, Mrs. Tiny Jones, Columbia, Miss., Mrs. Minnie Sodd, Monroe, and Mrs. Ruby Hall, Fort Smith, Ark.
