All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Minnie Lee Eakes - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 10, 1985 Services for Minnie Lee Eakes, 66, were at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home in Tallulah with the Rev. James Johnson officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery of Tallulah. Mrs. Eakes died Saturday at Madison Parish Hospital after a long illness. She was a native of Philadelphia, Miss., a resident of Madison Parish for 37 years, a homemaker and a member of Montrose Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Jeff Eakes and Jack Eakes, both of Tallulah, and John Eakes of Baytown, Texas; one daughter, Geraldine Eberhart of Tallulah; one brother, Earl Rash of Tallulah; two sisters, Wilma Mathews and Ann Williamson, both of Tallulah; her mother Leona Owens of Tallulah; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Pallbearers were Clem Tullos, Jim Tamburo, Scotty Bullock, Billy Rash, Lloyd Moore and Tony Harbey.
