Eaker - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 3, 1990 Funeral services for Mrs. Gwen K. Eaker, 68, were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Tallulah First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ramon Warren officiating. Burial was in the Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Eaker died Monday at her home after a short illness. She was a native of Tupelo, Miss. and a resident of Madison Parish for the past 42 years. She was a retired U.S. Postal Rural Mail Carrier a homemaker and a member of the Tallulah First United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Sonny Eaker of Laplace and Don Eaker of Sondheimer; one daughter, Martha Mitchell of Bolivar, Tenn.; two brothers, Charles Karnes of Bastrop and Ray Karnes of Houston; one sister, Juanita Allen of Maplewood, La.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Doug Curtis, Bobby Joe Lee, Tommy Byrd, Clinton Russell, Thomas Russell and Claude Grimes.
