Eaker - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, February 8, 1957 Former Resident Dies Friday In Ponchatoula, La. Gus B. Eaker, 74, former resident of Tallulah died Friday morning at his home in Ponchatoula. He had been living in Ponchatoula for the past 13 years after moving there from Tallulah. Funeral services were held Friday at 3:00 p. m. at the Tallulah Methodist Church with Rev. William F. Mayo officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margaret Griffin Eaker; four sons, Gus B. Eaker, Jr., Sondheimer; Bill Eaker, Tallulah; Edward Eaker, San Jose, Calif. and Robert L. Eaker, Ponchatoula; four daughters, Mrs. Lillie Williams, Leland, Miss.; Mrs. R. R. Holt, Tallulah; Mrs. Carl Painter, New Orleans and Mrs., S. E. Hargett, New Or-leans; 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were George Spinks, Ralph Loe, Lamar T. Loe, Garland Roberson, W. A. Smith, Manfred Gustafson, and honorary pallbearers were all friends of the family.
