All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Richard Gould Duncan - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal May 7, 1997 A memorial service for Mr. Richard Gould Duncan, age 61, will be conducted 4 p.m. Monday, May 12, 1997, at the Crothers/Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah. Burial will be in New Orleans at Lakelawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. May 12 at the funeral home in Tallulah. Mr. Duncan, a Madison Parish farmer, died Sunday, May 4, 1997, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in New Orleans of debilitating diabetes. Mr. Duncan was a Korean War veteran, attended LSU in chemical engineering and completed the J. C. Penney Management Program. In 1963, he returned to Tallulah to begin a 30-year farming career. After retirement, he moved to New Orleans. Survivors include three children: Donald G. Duncan of Baton Rouge, Delinda Duncan and Diane Duncan, both of New Orleans; two sisters, JoAnn Warner and Patsy Bosso, both of Baton Rouge; one brother James Hewell Duncan of Tallulah; and one grandchild, Katie Duncan of Rome, Ga. Mr. Duncan was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Dewitt Duncan Sr. and Louise Gould Duncan Lemaster; a sister Betty D. Wood and a brother, O. D. Duncan, Jr. Memorial donations may be sent to General Post Fund, VA Hospital, 1601 Perdido Street, New Orleans, LA 70021, Attention Mr. Tim Foray.
