DeWitt Duncan, Jr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal June 26, 1996 O. DeWitt Duncan, Jr. of Tulsa, Okla., formerly of Tallulah, died Tuesday, June 18, 1996 in the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla. following a brief illness. He was 65. Mr. Duncan was born in Bethpage, Tenn., and had lived in Tallulah years ago. He was a graduate of LSU School of Engineering, and was a chemical engineer. He retired as a vice president of Cities Service after 34 years. Mr. Duncan had lived in Tulsa for 30 years. Funeral services were held June 22, 1996 at 10:00 a.m. under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home, Tallulah. Rev John Rushing officiated. Burial followed at Silver Cross Cemetery, Tallulah. Survivors include his 2 brothers: Richard G. Duncan of New Orleans, and James H. Duncan of Tallulah; 2 sisters: Jo Ann D. Warner and Patsy D. Bosso both of Baton Rouge; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. DeWitt Duncan; and his sister, Betty D. Wood. Pallbearers were John Warne; Kenneth Bosso, Jr., Michael Lancaster, William Givens, Alfred Warner; and Daniel D. Duncan. In lieu of flowers his family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association, 90420 Lindale, Suite B, Baton Rouge, LA 70815.
