All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ James Vernon Donham - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, July 14, 1977 Funeral services for James Vernon Donham, 72, of Tallulah were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Parkview Baptist Church with the Revs. Bobby Brown and Frank Xxxxx officiating. Burial was in Providence Memorial under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Donham died Friday night at a Hospital in Vicksburg, Miss. after a lengthy illness. He was lumber scaler for Chicago Mill in Tallulah for a number of years. He was a native of Arkansas and a resident of Tallulah for 30 years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nettie Donham of Tallulah, four daughters, Mrs. Bennon Lee of Alexandria, Mrs. William Givens of Tallulah, Mrs. Jeanette Peyton of Virginia and Mrs. M. L. Melton of Shannon, Ireland; two sons, Robert Hancock and Eugene Hancock both of Tallulah, one sister, Mrs. Glen Campbell of Little Rock, Ark.; 16 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were R. E. Fowler, Harold Bolton, Alfred Holmes, Buford White, Bilbo Wilson, and "Doc" Sullivan.
