All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** James Archie Dickson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal February 2, 2000 Funeral services for Mr. James Archie Dickson, 72, of Tallulah, La., were held Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000, at the First United Methodist Church of Tallulah with Rev. Fred Fulton officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home, Tallulah. Mr. Dickson died Thursday night, Jan. 27, 2000 in the Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah after a lengthy illness. He was born in Drew, Miss., and had lived in Louisiana 42 years. He was a retired farmer and equipment salesman and storyteller. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a life member of the National Rifle Association, and a former member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Patton Dickson and his son, Steven Hey Dickson. He is survived by his wife: Sandra Dickson of Tallulah; two sons: Richie Dickson, Clarksdale, Miss., and David Dickson, Longview, Texas; one daughter: Julie Diaz, Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one brother: John Dickson, Tippo, Miss.; eight sisters: Margaret Wulff, Cincinnati, Ohio; Alene Jetton, Memphis, Tenn.; Iris Mitchell, Greenville, Miss.; Louise Brown, Booneville, Miss.; Clovis Cole, Charleston, Miss.; Jean Torbert, Madison, Miss.; Elaine MCCoy, Longview, Texas; Arias LaMastus, Drew, Miss.; great aunt: Nita Nail, Madison, Miss.; and 35 nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Bob Simms, Richard Everett, Adam Dickson, Warren Hopkins, Gary Arneson, and Shane Dickson. Honorary pallbearers were members of the American Legion Post 100.
