All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Augusta Devine - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 24, 1974 Rites held Tuesday for Mrs. Devine Funeral services were held Tuesday for Mrs. Augusta Devine, 93, at the First Presbyterian Church of Tallulah with the Rev. Nat Heeth officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Devine died Saturday in a Pineville nursing home after a lengthy illness. A native of Germany, Mrs. Devine had resided in Tallulah for the past 72 years. She was a member of the Presbyterian church. She is survived by two sons. Harry Hugh Devine of Macon. Ga. and Delma Devine of Jackson, Miss. Other survivors include six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
