DeStefano - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 14, 1987 Services for Mr. George T. DeStefano, 69, were at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Crothers Funeral Home Chapel in Tallulah with Father Louis Voorhies officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery. Mr. DeStefano died Monday night at his residence in Tallulah following a short illness. He was a native of Monroe and had been a resident of Tallulah for the past 20 years. He was a retired engineer with the U.S. Corps of Engineers, and was also a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Frieda DeStefano of Tallulah; one son, George F. DeStefano of Rochester, Minn.; one daughter, Mrs. Carmelyn Roney of Monroe; two brothers, Leo and Frank DeStefano, both of Monroe; one sister, Mrs. Mary Slavant of Monroe and a number of nieces and nephews.
