Frieda Elizabeth DeStefano - Madison Parish, Louisiana

ROCHESTER, Minn. - Frieda Elizabeth DeStefano died Monday, June 9, 2003, at 
Samaritan Bethany Nursing Home in Rochester, Minn. She was 77. 

Born in Kirby, Ark., Mrs. DeStefano had lived in Tallulah for 25 years before moving 
to Rochester. She was a homemaker and a member of Pax Christi Catholic Church. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, George T. DeStefano. 

Survivors include a son, George F. DeStefano of Rochester; a daughter, Carmelyn 
Rooney of Prairieville, La.; her mother, Georgie McCormic of Magnolia, Ark.; a 
brother, Len McCormic; two sisters, Ollie Nix and Verma Lankford; and three grandchildren. 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Tallulah with 
the Rev. Ferre D'Cruz officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery under 
the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah.
