All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Claude Brown DeMoss, Jr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal June 18, 1970 Citizens of Tallulah were saddened by the sudden one of its most prominent citizens, Claude Brown DeMoss, Jr., 58, who died while taken to a Vicksburg early Saturday morning. His death was an apparent heart attack. Mr. DeMoss has been president of the Tallulah Production Credit Association for the past 12 years and has been connected company for 28 years. Tallulah Production Credit is located in 11 Louisiana parishes. He was serving as secretary-treasurer of the Madison Chamber of Commerce and was an active member of the Tallulah Methodist Church. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock Church with the Rev. Clark Bell officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Inez DeMoss; a son, Lt. Claude B. B. DeMoss, III., three daughters, Mrs. Ann Keene, Mrs. Margaret Gilfoil and Mrs. Betty Durr, all of Tallulah; a brother, Billy DeMoss of Tallulah; two sisters, Mrs. Helen O'Conner of Alpine, Arizona and Mrs. Kathryn Williams of Springerville, Arizona; and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers included Bill Yerger, J. H. Bryant. Jim Gilfoil, John Frank Olvey, James Bowles, Maurice Ursery, Cliff Adams and Philip Scurria.
