All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Odessa Deckard - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, July 19, 1963 Services Held Tuesday For Mrs. Deckard Funeral services for Mrs. Odessa Deckard, 57, who died in the Madison Parish Hospital, last Saturday after an illness of several weeks were held Tuesday at 2:00 p. m. in St. Edward's Catholic Church with Father Richard Lombard officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Deckard was a native of Manchester, Tenn., and had resided in Madison Parish for the past 30 years. She was a member of the Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, John Deckard, Tallulah; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Solyard, Mt. Vernon, Ohio; two brothers, Surl and Victor Wiser, both of Manchester, Tenn., and a niece. Pallbearers were A. N. Duke, LaRue Harmon, Manfred Gustafson, Bob Gaumnitz, Charlie Arneson and Archie Fairbanks.
