F. Deckard Funeral services for Muriel Floyd Deckard, 51, was held at Crothers Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday morning at 11 A. M., conducted by the Rev. Bill McKinney. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Deckard died Sunday in a Vicksburg hospital, following a brief illness. Bad health had forced Mr. Deckard to retire several years ago from his duties as a mechanic on a plantation south of Tallulah. He was a native of Bridgeport, Ill., but had resided in Madison Parish for 35 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Mr. Deckard is survived by his widow, Mrs. Belva Deckard, Tallulah; two sons, Wayne and Muriel J. Deckard, both of Tallulah; two daughters, Mrs. Lorine Arnold and Miss Ernestine Deckard, both of Tallulah; three sisters, Mrs. Bill Welch of Tallulah, Mrs. Adeline Conklin, Tennessee, and Mrs. Gene Gilbert of West Monroe, and one grandchild. Pallbearers were Joe Thornton, E. C. Woodyear, Ed Newell, Charles Arneson, Phil Grimes and LaRue Harmon.
