Deason Jr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal August 18, 1993 Funeral services for Mr. Joel W. Deason Jr., 79, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Rushing and Rev. Lee Deason officiating. Burial was at Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Deason died Sunday at Delta Haven Nursing Home. He was a native of Jasper County, Miss. and had lived in Tallulah for 60 years. He was an employee of Chicago Mill and Lumber Company for 40 years and retired as superintendent of the Veneer Plant. He was a member of the Tallulah First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Stocks Deason, in 1985. Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Ann Randall of Tallulah and Gloria Anderson of Brandon, Miss.; three brothers, Rev. Lee Deason of Zwolle, Cleo Deason of West Monroe and Reuben Reason of Colorado; two sisters, Pauline Lewis of Monroe and Leona Alexander of West Monroe and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were grandsons Bill Randall, Allen Randall, Lane Randall and Greg Stanton and John Richardson and Jimmy Richardson.
