All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Leland Davis - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, February 3, 1977 Funeral services for Leland Davis, 76, of Tallulah, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Crothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah. Mr. Carter died Friday at his residence of an apparent heart attack. He was a native of Como, Miss., a resident of Madison Parish for 60 years and an employee of the Woodyear Plantation near Tallulah. Survivors include one sister, Miss Helen Carter of Tallulah; two nephews, William S. Carter of Ruston and Charles O. Carter of Monroe. Pallbearers were Corneal Woodyear, Jack Millikin, Elton Fortenberry, Carlos Glass, John Christian and Wilburn Collins.
