Davis - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, June 25, 1981 Services for Harold B. Davis were held at the Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with the the Rev. Coles officiating. Burial followed the Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah with Masonic graveside rites. Mr. Davis died Sunday in his residence in Tallulah after a brief illness. He was 75. He was a native of Xxxxx, Miss. and a resident of Tallulah for 11 years. He was the owner of the Holiday Capri Hotel in Tallulah, a member and commander of the Scott-Nicols-Voak Post 100 of the American Legion, member and member of the Tallulah Men's Bible Class and a member of the Tallulah United Methodist Church and a member of the Royal Arch of the Masonic Lodge of Tallulah. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite Body of Monroe, a member of the Wahabi Temple of Jackson, a Shriner and has served as District Deputy Grand High Priest of the fifth district. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Carrie Ruth Davis, one brother, Harper Davis, of Clarksdale and one sister, Mrs. Linda Rhodes of Houston, Miss. Pallbearers were W. F. Fell, Charlie Arneson, W. S. Pierce, Renford T. Williams, Otis Gunn, Merle Gustafson, Bob Gaumnitz and Howard Maxwell. Honoraries were members of the Scott-Nichols-Voak Post 100 of the American Legion and members of the Tallulah Methodist Men's Bible Class.
