All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Edith Davis - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal September 10, 1970 Former resident dies at 70 in Arkansas TALLULAH - Mrs. Edith Davis, 70, of Russellville, Ark., formerly of Tallulah, died Friday after a long illness. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Tallulah Methodist Church with the Rev. Clark Bell officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Miss Billye Davis of Russellville, Ark., Mrs. James Ellis Jr., of Monroe, Mrs. R. L. Keller Jr., of Mauldin, Mo., a brother, Phil Collins of Ashdown, Ark.; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jeff Goza, E. B. Towne Jr., Barton Sevier, Homer Erwin, Elmer Neill and Shields Bray. Honorary pallbearers were R. L. Bailey, Jr., Covington, La.; Dr. H. S. Provine, Jesse Anderson, Myron Erwin, Billy Keller, Fritz Spencer, Shreveport.
