All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Alvis "Chunk" Davidson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 21, 1987 Alvis "Chunk" Davidson died at the Mercy Regional Medical Center in Vicksburg Tuesday night, Jan. 13 after a short illness. Services were at 10 a.m. last Thursday at the Glenwood Chapel with the Rev. John Allen officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Willie Parish Davidson of Tallulah; two daughters, Mrs. Martha Sandra Reditt of Oak Ridge, Miss., and Mrs. Dianna Lynn Vibelius of Tallulah; two sons, Robert A. Davidson of Richmond, Va., and Michael Davidson of Vicksburg; one sister, Mrs. Myrtis Ford of Vicksburg; four brothers, Robert E. "Toby" Davidson of Vicksburg, Pat Davidson of Grenada, Miss., Dave Davidson of Roseville, Calif., and Dexter Davidson of Vidalia; and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers were Clifford Kelly, J.W. Hearn, Albert McMullen, James Terry, Carl Kinstley and Bill Parker. Honorary pallbearers were John Fisher, Rudolph Sharp, Charles Summerson, Ed Jones, Hardie Lewis, Robert Mathis and employees of the Waterways Experiment Station Fire Department.
