Dacus - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 28, 1985 Mrs. Bessie H. Dacus, 87, died Saturday at Delta Haven Nursing Home in Tallulah after a long illness. Services were at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Church of Christ in Tallulah with the Revs. V. W. Hayhurst and D. T. Williams officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Lake Providence under direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mrs. Dacus was a native of Dardanelle, Ark., and had been a resident of Tallulah for 13 years. She was a former resident of Transylvania, a housewife and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include two sons, Holman Dacus of Transylvania and Amon Dacus of Harlington, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Delora Grace of Dardanelle, Ark., Mrs. Delena Gilbreath of Tallulah and Mrs. Hazel Feder of Vicksburg, Miss.; 30 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Billy Grady, Jack Thames, Ebb Ferguson, Jerry Gilbreath, Dick Whaley and Henry Stanley.
