All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ James Michael “Mike” Cummins Sr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post January 8, 2009 TALLULAH — Funeral services for Mr. James Michael “Mike” Cummins Sr., 56, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, at First United Methodist Church of Tallulah with the Rev. John Kavanaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery, Tallulah, under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Cummins died Wednesday morning, Jan. 7, 2009, at Madison Parish Hospital from heart failure. He was born in Delhi and lived all his life in Tallulah. He was the manager of the Tallulah Country Club and was an alderman for Richmond, La. Mr. Cummins was the owner of Cummins Housemovers and of Camdino Enterprises and Bear Creek Gaming. Survivors include his wife, Marla Evans Cummins of Tallulah; one son, Michael and wife Amber of Tallulah; one daughter, Jaime Machen and husband Stewart of Tallulah; three grandsons, Brayden, Paul Michael and Peyton Machen, all of Tallulah; and two brothers, Lee and wife Gayle of Tallulah and Chester and wife Paula of Little Rock. Mr. Cummins was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn and Silas “Red” Cummins. Pallbearers will be Larry Cox, Larry Wells, Wayne Edwards, Glenn Guimbellot, Tommy Horn, Tod Dorbeck, Keith Walters and “Jarbo” Wall. Honorary pallbearers will be Guy Smith, Leroy Smith, Richard Smith and Stewart Machen.
