Cummins - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe News-Star June 21, 1955 LAKE PROVIDENCE, June 21 (Special) — Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Crothers Funeral Home for J. C. Cummins, 62, Lake Providence auto salesman, who died Saturday night in a Shreveport hospital following a brief illness. Services were conducted by Rev. Tom Toney, pastor of the Lake Providence Pentecostal church. Interment was in the Silver Cross Cemetery, Tallulah. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Earline Cummins; four sons, S. L. Cummins, Leonard Cummins, and Aubrey Cummins, all of Tallulah, and William J. Cummins, Houston, Texas; six daughters, Mrs. Harold Gillis, Miami, Fla., and Misses Jeannett Cummins, Dorothy Cummins, Shirley Fay Cummins, Linda Cummins and Eva Marie Cummins, all of Tallulah; six grandchildren; [illegible], and three brothers.
