LAKE PROVIDENCE, LA - A time of visitation with the family will take place between the hours 4 to 6 PM on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Cox Funeral Home, 208 North Hood Street in Lake Providence, Louisiana.

Tommy Joe Cummings was born to the union of Wesley Dewitt Cummings and Katie Moore Cummings on June 6, 1945 in Tallulah, Louisiana.

He passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019 in Lake Providence, Louisiana.

He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Mark Anthony Cummings

Mr. Cummings is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sherry Lynn and Robbie Covington of Raymond, Mississippi; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Tisha Cummings of Raymond, Mississippi; 3 grandchildren: Robin (Jamie) Cole, Paige Covington and Zane Cummings; 5 great grandchildren: Kayte Covington, Tyler Cole, Shelbi Cole, Corbin Cole and Jordyn Pittman; sister, Regina Gail Cummings of Lake Providence, Louisiana; 3 nieces: Cynthia Sullivan Price, Nancy Cummings and Jody Cummings; and 5 nephews: Jerry Wayne Sullivan, David Sullivan, Billy Cummings, Jr., Dale Cummings and Chad Lindzay.
