All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Clay Crawford - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal July 22, 1992 Funeral services for Mr. Clay Crawford, 68, were held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Bap-tist Church with Rev. Crawford Williams and Dr. Gordon Sansing officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mr. Crawford died Tuesday, July 14 at the Madison Parish Hospital. Mr. Crawford had lived in Vicksburg for the past nine years. He was born in Downsville and had lived in Madison Parish for 32 years. He was manager of Helena Chemical of Tallulah. He was a veteran of World War II and operated Crawford Feed and Seed Store for many years. He was a member of the Tallulah First Baptist Church, where he served in numerous capacities, including senior deacon and director of Sunday school and training union. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and former member of the Tallulah Lions Club. He was a member and past president of the Louisiana Seedmen's Association and a member of the Southern Seedmen's Association. Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Crawford of Vicksburg; two sons, John Clay Crawford of Las Vegas, Nev. and Robert David Crawford of Zachary; one brother, Pierce Crawford of Downsville; three sisters, Eunice Brown and Mamie Liner; both of West Monroe and Nellie Delouche of Sulphur; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Dan Copes, Charlie Pippen, Danny Bedgood, Terry Craft, John Byram, Kolan Ray, Benny Lee and Devone Bullock.
