Craig - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, November 9, 1956 Emmett Craig Dies Early Thursday Morning At His Home On North Mulberry Emmett Craig, 40, died early Thursday morning at his Home on Mulberry Street. Funeral services will be held at his home today (Friday) with the Rev. William S. Spilman, Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Mr. Craig was a native of Tallulah, was a graduate of Tallulah High School and Sewanee University, Sewanee, Tenn., a member Kappa Sigma Fraternity; former member of Tallulah's Town Council and a member of the Board of Directors of the Tallulah State Bank & Trust Company. He was owner of the Tallulah Laundry & Cleaners and the Craig Insurance Agency. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Frances Kathan Craig; one daughter, Lee Craig; four cousins, A. C. Monette, A. G. Monette, Mrs. E. F. Wakefield, all of Shreveport, and Lillian Monette, Jackson, Miss.; and a niece, Frances Monette Craig Tallulah. He was the son of the late William S. Craig and Bertha Monette Craig. Pallbearers will be W. Z. Adams, C. C. Adams, Harry L. Holt, Billy Bray, W. W. Ziegler, J. H. Bryant, E. H. Eiland, Dr. H. S. Provine, M. A. Philips and Buddy Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be Mandeville Kell, Hugh Montgomery, J. E. Neill, Sr., Henry C. Sevier, Sr., W. P. Sevier, C. E. Hester, Fred Peterkin, Phillip Scurria, W. E. Regenold, Odo Cagnolatti, Mac Cagnolatti, Billy Morris, Don Sevier, Charles Abrahm, Rodney Naylor, W. W. Pippin, Jim Gilfoil, and Xxxx Chalfant of Vicksburg, Miss., and all friends of the family.
