Cox - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, February 22, 1989 Funeral services for Mrs. Fleeta D. Cox, 84, were at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Gaston officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery. Mrs. Cox died Friday in the Delta Haven Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Dallas and had lived in Madison Parish for 52 years. She was a housewife and a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include one son, Roy J. Cox of St. Charles, Mo..; two daughters, Lou Ann Purvis of Tallulah and Cherry L. Burnitt of St. Charles, Mo.; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were grandsons, Robert J. Purvis, Roy Purvis, Raymond Cox, Kevin Cox, Lynn Burnitt and Quintin Purvis.
